Zoona’s winning streak continues
Zoona has announced that it had been awarded two international awards. Lelemba Phiri, the Group Chief Marketing Officer, was recognised as being one of the Top 5 Most Influential Global Marketing Leaders at the World Marketing Congress in Mumbai. In addition the company was honoured with the Africa Best Employer Brand Award, at a ceremony held in Mauritius. They recognise organisations that have used marketing communications effectively in attracting, retaining, and developing talent.

More than 600 marketing leaders from at least 70 nationalities attended the ‘Most Influential Global Marketing Leader’ ceremony held in Mumbai.
The Most Influential Global Marketing Leaders is an intensely competitive award. The shortlisted individuals are people that are doing extraordinary work. The jury consists of senior professionals from across the globe that assess and track their achievements over a period of time.
The second award received by the company was the prestigious Africa Best Employer Brand Award.
The awards recognize organizations that have used marketing communications effectively in finding talent. The Africa Best Employer Brand Award is chaired and headed by Dr. Indira Parikh the Ex-Dean of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, the most prestigious education institute in India.
The Africa Best Employer Brand Award features the Top organizations from the African Region, who are exemplary in HR Practice and use marketing communications effectively for Human Resources Development.

A number of weeks ago, Zoona’s Chief Executive Office, Mike Quinn received the coveted Claugus Award for Social Entrepreneurship, while the company itself was recognised by UNCDF Digital Chikwama Awards for the important work being done in Zambia in the field of financial inclusion at the awards held in Lusaka.
