How to zoom into pictures on Instagram

You don’t need to take screenshots to be able to zoom into pictures on Instagram shared that users can now do that all within the app itself.

Simply pinch the picture and spread your fingers to zoom and see what you want to, like this:

In its blog post about the new feature, Instagram shared all its changes over the past few months:

“Over the past six months, you’ve seen many exciting changes come to Instagram, from a new icon to longer videos and even a new way to share everyday moments with Instagram Stories. And as things change, we’re still focused on improving the core parts of Instagram.”

Instagram also has another update that allows you to filter bad language on your comments. Instagram CEO and co-founder Kevin Systrom shared this in a blog post:

‘The beauty of the Instagram community is the diversity of its members. All different types of people — from diverse backgrounds, races, genders, sexual orientations, abilities and more — call Instagram home, but sometimes the comments on their posts can be unkind. To empower each individual, we need to promote a culture where everyone feels safe to be themselves without criticism or harassment. So, today, we’re taking the next step to ensure Instagram remains a positive place to express yourself.’

They have introduced a keyword moderation tool that allows you to hide inappropriate comments on your profile. Simply go to your gear icon/menu tab and check for a ‘Comments‘ tool, then open it and turn on:
