Zamtel launches ‘Elo Chadiba’ social bundles, offers free Facebook, WhatsApp & Instagram on mobile

Zamtel has launched new data packs that will see its mobile subscribers enjoy cheap data, calls and SMS services. The new offer dubbed Elo Chadiba will enable Zamtel mobile phone users to purchase affordable bundles which will in turn offer them free access to WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram.

Any subscriber who purchases Elo Chadiba social bundles on offer will also be eligible for data or internet browsing, on-net minutes and SMS on daily, weekly or monthly validity periods.

The price ranges from as little as K5 for a daily bundle which comes with 75MB to a 500MB monthly bundle at a cost of K240. ALL with Free WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram.

Announcing the new offer, Zamtel Acting Chief Marketing Officer, Chibeza Ngoma said the data bundles are aimed at responding to the increased demand for data by Zamtel customers.

“This offer is a direct response to what our mobile customers have been demanding. We are also keeping with the spirit of Christmas and bringing some festive cheer,” said Mr Ngoma. He added, “We are confident that our customers of diverse social and economic classes will be set for a boost in terms of communication given the flexibility in our data pricing tailored for both high and low income earners. With the increasing use of social media platforms such as Instagram, WhatsApp and Facebook, our customers will find this offer hard to resist.”

“At Zamtel, we take keen interest in the youth market and we understand that the millennials make the bulk of social media users. This offer is aimed at capturing this demographic product and is yet another example of Zamtel responding to the needs of the customer,” Mr Ngoma said.

The daily bundle will expire after 24 Hours or when the data is depleted. Customers will be notified via SMS once the bundle has run out.
