Zambia and Finland Partner to Host First Ever Lusaka Slush’D!
Slush is a huge event held annually in Helsinki, Finland – where hundreds of startups meet and showcase their innovations and ideas in front of technology enthusiasts and more importantly, investors.
“At its core, Slush looks at how we aim to connect founders with what and whom they need while building a new, inclusive, and more purposeful culture of entrepreneurship.
This is because we fully believe our actions as a society over the next decade will determine the course of humanity for generations to come. Entrepreneurs building scalable solutions will be at the core of creating the solutions that will make that future a bright one”, Slush organizers.
In Zambia, in partnership with the Finnish government, we will see the launch of Lusaka Slush’D, a startup event in Zambia, organized by the National Technology Business Centre (NTBC) and local partners. Its main goal is to connect startups and founders, investors, and other players in the ecosystem. The event offers activities like master classes, panel discussions, pitching events, and award ceremonies. Lusaka Slush’D is a smaller version of the renowned Slush event held in Helsinki, Finland. It will take place on September 28th-29th at the Kenneth Kaunda International Conference Center.
Some of the Lusaka Slush’D partners are the Ministry of Technology and Science (Zambia), Accelerated Growth for SMEs in Zambia (AGS), Nyamuka Africa, Zambia Information Communications and Technology Authority (ZICTA), BongoHive, Stanbic Bank, Women’s Entrepreneurial Access Center (WEAC), and Zambia Business Angles Network (ZBAN).
