What You Need To Know Before Deleting Your Apple ID
I am living in hell because I created a new Apple ID – to access another country store – and when I still did not find what I was looking for I decided to delete it.
Please don’t ask why I didn’t change region. It wasn’t changing. 😓
This is where it all went downhill.
I logged into the new account on a Mac, but had the new account still logged in on my iPhone. Then I requested account deletion on my Mac but hadn’t logged out on the phone. What happens is Apple won’t log you out automatically on your iPhone or other Apple devices on the account you’ve requested deletion for.
This means you will stay logged in on one device, and can not log out. Even if you try to sign into the now-deleted account, you will get a notification that the ID does not exist, obviously cause it’s deleted. It simply won’t let you sign in with a working Apple ID. Frustrating, right?
Apple recommends that you get in touch with their Support team but depending on where you there might not even be an Apple accredited technician close by. Some of the requirements they might ask of you to deal with this situation are the receipt to show that you are the owner and that the receipt has the same serial number as the device you’re trying to log out from.
I am stuck with this old Apple ID and can not get out. Anyone else sorted this out? Let me know below in the comments.
