More than 52 countries use the WorldRemit app to send about 400,000 money transfers over 125 destinations per month, and has now connected to over 25 mobile money services globally.
MTN Mobile Money is available in 15 countries across Africa, i.e. Benin, Botswana, Cameroon, Congo, Ghana, Guinea Bissau, Guinea Republic, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Swaziland, Uganda and Zambia.
We believe financial inclusion starts with services like mobile money that largely target the unbanked population having more options available in how they can use their e-money.
This is great for people in the diaspora sending money back home as they can now send it directly to their loved ones using their phone numbers.
