The aim of the roadshow truck is to bring internet and communication solutions closer to people from all parts of the country. Call it tech on wheels if you may.

The roadshow demonstration truck is  going by the theme “Connected Possibilities – Make it Possible” and it is in Zambia to cover thousands of kilometres showcasing what technological solutions and ICT equipment Huawei has to offer especially the less priviledged countries and help boost their industries and/or economies.

When one enters the truck, you immediately feel like a tech nerd and just gape in awe at everything in there. From large screen TVs showcasing the different things Huawei does, to gadgets you would kill for, like the popular Huawei Ascend P6.

The most captivating thing mentioned by H.E the Chinese Ambassador Zhou Yuxiao was that Zambians should stop relying on copper exports only to make our economy thrive. We should also explore other options with the extensive use of technology and we could just strike gold. Even when it comes to natural resources, we should not just export all of it in its raw form but also use technology right here to convert it into finished products for a better price. Good advice right? We hope Hon. Yamfwa Mukanga remembers to raise the point when in Parliament with the rest of the Zambian government officials. (*sigh*)

Huawei is the world’s largest telecommunication and ICT solutions provider, serving 45 of world’s top 50 telecom operators. Its products and solutions are benefiting one third of the world’s population.

With the joint effort of 150,000 employees in more than 140 countries, Huawei is ranked 315th of the Fortune 500 companies. It has 14 regional headquarters, 23 R&D centres, 32 joint innovation centres and 45 training centres worldwide, creating maximum value for telecom operators, enterprises and consumers by providing competitive solutions and services.

“Our aim is to connect Zambia to the incredible possibilities that Huawei has developed through this international experience and research. Huawei is bridging the digital divide with its technologies and solutions for telecommunications networks, consumer devices, and cloud computing,” said Huawei Technologies Zambia Country Director Stanley Chyn.

We hope the Huawei roadshow demonstration truck takes a ride to all corners of Zambia and shows how innivative we can all be with technology. Together, we can ‘CONNECT POSSIBILITIES, and ‘MAKE IT POSSIBLE’.
