Airtel Gives Away 3rd Car in 1Bo Promotion

The 1Bo promotion has been running for the past 3 months, with each month seeing a lucky winner drive off in a brand new Hyundai Xcent car. The first and second winners were excited, as we should expect the third is too.

This time the 1Bo winner is Mr. Kelvin Mutwale, a 36yr old Livingstone bricklayer. He was handed over his new set of wheels by Airtel’s Zonal Business Manager, Mr Francis Simfukwe.

“The moment we launched the promotion, our call centre was flooded with phone calls from customers asking us about the how to enter, and since then it has been very overwhelming,” Mr. Simfukwe said.

Ofcourse it was flooded. Who doesn’t want a car these days?

Mr Simfukwe further stated how Airtel is happy to  empower their subscribers through promotions like 1Bo. Adding on to this Livingstone District Administrative Officer, Ms Harriet Kawina said, “There is no way you can expect Government alone to provide high quality services across the country without stakeholder partnerships especially from the private sector. It is for this reason that we implore other companies to supplement government efforts in providing various services as a way of ploughing back into our communities.”

According to Airtel’s records since the 1Bo promotion was launched last November there have been 420 weekly winners of K5, 000 each and 3 car winners with each car costing K178, 750. The total cost spent so far is K2, 636, 250.00 with entries from across the country including Mufulira, Mansa, Chililabombwe and towns off the line of rail.
