NetOne spreads holiday cheer at UTH children’s ward and Kabanana Catholic Church
NetOne Information Technology Limited, made a lot of kids at UTH happy last Friday by donating a play area to Paediatric Surgical Ward D01 and a 100 new toys to 3 other wards.
Asked why the children’s ward was specifically considered for this gesture, NetOne CEO Bejoy Nettikadan said a lot of children in the ward get contributions like food and linen, but it’s also it’s important they feel very special by getting their own toys or gifts for occasions like Christmas.
“There is still a lot of support that the children’s ward needs, things like shunts for kids that are born with hydrocephalus (where fluid fills up in the brain, the shunts are used to drain it) are really needed, plus food and linen is always welcome”, Mr Nettikadan added. “We feel a great sense of satisfaction having come here and seeing the smiles on the kids and their mothers’ faces.”
On the same day, NetOne also donated 80 Christmas hampers to older and handicapped individuals through Kabanana Catholic Church.
