MTN Zambia celebrates 2 million Mobile Money customers

MTN Zambia is offering additional value to its mobile money customers when they purchase airtime directly from their MTN Mobile Money wallet as part of the More for More promotion to celebrate 2 million customers on MTN Mobile Money.

MTN Mobile Money customers are receiving bonus voice minutes and data when they dial *303# and purchase airtime from their MTN Mobile Money accounts.

Speaking in Lusaka recently, MTN Mobile Money General Manager, Edmund Barwuah said MTN Mobile Money is committed to ensuring that every Zambian has access to secure, convenient and affordable financial services.

‘Mo4Mo is a promotion that will be running for the next 3 months. We are rewarding customers who make airtime purchases through our Mobile Money platform. This is part of our celebration for the 2 million customers and we are saying thank you to the customer by giving you more for more,’ he said.

Mr. Barwuah also adds that the 2 million customers milestone cements MTN Zambia’s position as a market leader and is a testament to its reputation as a brand that caters to the needs of the Zambian people.

‘The foundation of our business as MTN Mobile Money is the customer. We always seek to ensure that we reach out to our customers wherever they are and offer them financial services that are convenient, timely and efficient. Our goal is to play our part to improve financial inclusion in the country by bring our services to the unbanked in our communities,’ he said.

Mr Barwuah also reveals that MTN Mobile Money will continue to leverage its extensive network of agents to ensure that more people have access to mobile money services as well as providing an excellent unmatched customer experience.

‘Our MTN Mobile Money agent network is the pillar for our business. Currently, we have over 30,000 active agents. This is an advantage for us because it means we get to reach out to more people at the same time act as a way of empowering people in our communities who generate income and create a livelihood through working as an MTN Mobile Money agent,’ he said.
