MTN Zambia has launched a latest innovation called ‘MTN Tamanga-Be Your Own Boss’, which speaks to anyone who is an MTN subscriber. MTN Tamanga –Be your own boss is a way of initiating an unprecedented national campaign which makes every single MTN subscriber an entrepreneur. During a presentation given at the launch, MTN Chief Executive Officer, Charles Molapisi said that MTN Tamanga will help combat unemployment through giving every MTN customer an opportunity to become an economically active member of society. ‘MTN Tamanga – Be Your Own Boss gives MTN customers the opportunity to purchase MTN airtime in bulk via the MTN Mobile Money platform in order MTN chief.
Officiating at the function, Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chief Executive Officer, Prisca Chikwashi said that ZACCI would support MTN Zambia’s efforts to reach out their business to the grass roots as it was the voice of the private sector. Ms Chikwashi said, it was in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s interest to work with MTN Zambia and other stakeholders to develop and promote activities that had an impact on the economy. She urged individuals to take up initiatives which were within their reach to make their living conditions better.
The MTN Tamanga was a unique way for one to earn an income while also promoting Electronic Voucher Distribution (EVD). No smart phones or special gadgets are required to be able to become an MTN Tamanga. Any functioning phone will suffice as long as it has an MTN mobile money account.
