Want the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus? The Comparison

We already gave you an iPhone 6 review but now we’re going to see what makes it different from it’s bigger brother the iPhone 6 Plus, that Apple rolled out at the same time as the iPhone 6.

Being noticeably larger at 5.5 inches, the iPhone 6 Plus packs a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution in its screen compared to the 4.7 inches iPhone 6’s 750 x 1334 pixels, meaning the iPhone 6 Plus has sharper images.

Dimensions: The iPhone 6 Plus weighs in at 172g, more than the iPhone 6’s 129g which is  as expected, and has dimensions of 158.1 x 77.8 x 7.1 mm, making it thicker, longer and wider than the iPhone 6 which comes in 138.1 x 67 x 6.9 mm dimensions.

CPU and Processor: They both run on the Apple A8 chipset with a dual-core 1.4 GHz Cyclone processor.

Storage: They both have choices of 16/64/128 GB variants and have 1GB of RAM

Camera: Both smartphones have an 8MP rear camera with dual focus and an LED flash (although the iPhone 6 Plus’ camera has an optical image stabilizer), and a 1.2MP front camera.

Battery: The iPhone 6 Plus has a larger battery at  2915 mAh while the iPhone 6 has a 1810 mAh one.

Price: The 16GB iPhone 6 Plus is selling anywhere between $600 – $800 (approx  K3113 – k4151). Shops in Lusaka currently has the iPhone 6 trading at K7500 for the 16GB model.

Conclusion:

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have very similar features under the hood. The only thing that sets them apart is the size difference, and a clearer screen and a battery that lasts longer in the iPhone 6 Plus.

Both phones have features such as the processor, camera and RAM that are easily beaten by other older rivaling Android flagship smartphones such as the LG G3, the HTC One M8 and the Samsung Galaxy S5, which currently would cost you far much less than the iPhone 6 range.

The only thing that’s creating a buzz is the new operating system that was rolled out with the Phone, the iOS 8.

Maybe the iPhone 7 will impress us…
