BBM’s Material design for Android released
It’s been a while since BlackBerry made their social messenger, BBM, open to Android, Windows and iOS operating systems and ever since then they’ve had to keep up with the updates rolled out by the two.
Android had released its Material design which was the new user interface (UI) on its devices that came with or were updated to the Android 5.0 Lollipop and newer operating system (OS).
BBM’s new interface, as seen in the above picture, has a new appearance for the menu button and the options to start a chat with one contact or to create a group are now at the top of your newsfeed (my newsfeed only contains news about me because I don’t do BBM conversations at all 🙁 ). It also has a new private chat mode, and enables users to easily share pictures, documents and files within the BBM app.

BlackBerry had said last month that this update would be ‘more colorful, more eye-popping, and easier-to-use BBM experience that’s brand-new, yet very familiar’.
You can download BBM for Android from the Google Play Store here.
