BBM to get Bigger, Better and More Than You Expected
“Bla bla bla is too large. The maximum file size is 6 MB”. How many times does that pop up on your BBM before you decide to just send the file on another app like Whatsapp?
It took them long enough but BlackBerry may now have to stretch their hand a little bit more and allow file transfers of up to 16 MB, rather than the dreaded 6 MB we’re so accustomed to.
This will roll out for Android and iOS devices soon.
They also want to introduce photo/file sharing in group chats which is seriously so necessary because today’s generation really believes in that whole “picture says a thousand words” theory and are putting it into practice within chat rooms. Other apps have had this feature for a while but BlackBerry has heard the pleas of its consumers and respected their wishes. The date for the upgrades however has not yet been announced.
Another new feature we might be seeing is the introduction of larger emoticons because truthfully speaking the current ones are an eye-strain’s work to see. Just look at the picture below.
We can’t wait to see their new changes as they try to stay in line with their social messaging rivals that seem to come up with something new everyday.
Any chance they will remove the annoying “PING” feature while they’re at it?
