Lunga Celebrates New Mobile Network Connectivity Milestone
“The government has continued to deliver infrastructure development to improve economic activities inclusive of the communication sector in remote areas of Zambia to improve the livelihoods of the indigenous inhabitants.” says Technology and Science Minister Hon. Felix Mutati, in a statement shared today.
The building of a Postal Services Office and a Mobile Network Telecommunication Tower was officially launched with a groundbreaking ceremony that excited the people of Lunga, in the province of Luapula. Speaking to an excited audience, the Minister emphasized the revolutionary effect that this project will have on the neighbourhood.
By boosting economic activity and opening the door for an inclusive communication network, the Mobile Network Tower has the potential to completely transform connectivity in Lunga. This technological advancement is an important step toward realizing the Minister’s emphasis on the creation of an accessible society.
The Minister made a noteworthy pledge to strengthen the local labour force. Priority will be given to recruiting local people as soon as construction starts, offering employment possibilities that not only improve skills but also support the community’s economy. This all-inclusive strategy is expected to improve livelihoods and build a more affluent and sustainable future for Lunga.
