LG launches ‘Ray’ tablet aimed at 3G markets
LG Electronics has launched the LG Ray tablet that is aimed at markets without access to 4G, or have minimal access to it, and created the LG Ray for 3G compatibility.
It claims this large screen tablet has one of the best cameras for 3G markets, helping deliver access to feature sthat are not available in other devices of the same range.
The LG Ray tablet has the following features:
- 5.5-inch HD (720 pixel) screen
- 13MP rear and 8MP front cameras.
- Runs on Android Lollipop powered by a 1.4GHz octacore processor, with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage (with microSD slot)
- Only 3G enabled, no LTE
- 3000mAH battery
It will be available in single- and dual-SIM versions.
Juno Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communication said “Customers in 3G markets continue to be a priority for LG so we will continue to develop new products with these consumers in mind.”
The price of the Ray hasn’t yet been announced and it’s expected to launch in Europe and Latin America first.
