AfriLabs and JokkoLabs

AfriLabs, the pan-african network of 123 technology and innovation centers across 34 African countries concluded a partnership with Jokkolabs, an ecosystem of open innovation and a network of centers of innovation in 8 countries (Senegal, Cameroon, Gambia, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Mali and France, as well as a representation in Morocco and Congo). The addition of the 12 members of Jokkolabs makes AfriLabs a network of 135 centers across 36 African countries.

Hubs in the Jokkolabs network have become members of the AfriLabs network and Jokkolabs as an organization has become a partner of AfriLabs. AfriLabs and Jokkolabs will work together to design programs for both networks. JokkoLabs members will enjoy all the advantages of being members of AfriLabs such as access to events, programs and resources.

“Since the launch of one of the first innovation hubs in Africa 8 years ago in Senegal, Jokkolabs has been dedicated to the building of a great ecosystem of African innovation for a shared prosperity with our partners. To join the AfriLabs network is another stage of ‘building a bridge instead of a wall’ between the various initiatives and regions with the profit of entrepreneurs on the continent as the end goal”. – Karim Sy, founder, Jokkolabs.

“We are excited to work with Jokkolabs on programs that will have an impact on our joint communities and to contribute to the realization of our vision of open markets for African startups, regional integration, the promotion of the innovation and technology for social development and economic development on the continent. ” – Anna Ekeledo, Executive Director, AfriLabs.
