Hai launches LiTESPEED home and office WiFi
Hai has launched a home or office WiFi solution that doesn’t require FTTH installation to your house. This LiTESPEED ( I think a play on LTE speed) package which comes with a 4G /LTE Huawei B315 LTE router.
Launched last weekend, Hai LiTESPEED has 4 topup bundle packages:
- 15GB for K390,
- 35GB for K790,
- 50GB for K990 and
- 100GB for K1590
Users will be able to connect up to 30 devices to the router.
The LiTESPEED data bundle comes with a Hai SIM card as well and users can put the SIM in their phone or a MiFi and use their data anywhere as well, much like how Vodafone operates in Zambia.
The places that have Hai network coverage for the routers right now are split into four Zones in Lusaka numbered 1 to 4:
- Zone 1: Chelstone, Avondale, Waterfalls, Chainda and Ibex Hill.
- Zone 2: Helen Kaunda, PHI, Chainama Hill, Mutendere.
- Zone 3: Kabwata, Woodlands South, Chilenje, Kamwala, Libala, Chalala.
- Zone 4: Roma, Ngombe, Kalundu, Chudleigh, Jesmondine.
Check to see if your location has LiTESPEED coverage here.
Good to see an overall reduction in Internet prices. What would be great would be to see more unlimited plans rolling out perhaps capped on speed.
Capped or uncapped ??
It is bundle based. The moment your data finishes, you are cut off. There is not throttling until the end of the month.
Nice article. Well written and comprehensive, though short and up to the point. I use the Hai LiTE Speed service in Meanwood Ibex Hill. My download speeds can hit 30 Mbps, though I often get one or two bars on my router. When I checked with the coverage map, I realised that I live in a poor signal area, which might explain the one bar.
Do you cover in makeni ?
Is Kabwe covered?
