Google launches Kids Space, with free apps, books and videos for kids
Google has launched Kids Space to meet demand from parents who want more content on the Play Store for their kids.
Previously, the PlayStore had a kids tab where there was teacher-approved apps for kids. Now they have launched a Kids Space, where apps, books and videos are available on select Android tablets.
Google worked with academic experts and children’s education specialists to create Kids Space, and hopefully kids and parents around the world will find it useful. They also engaged publishers to make popular children’s books available for free. There is also a Watch and Make tab where kids can view creative and fun videos directly from YouTube.
