Microsoft Office for iPad expected this Month

Can you believe that just because Microsoft has not had Microsoft Office available for the iPad it has cost them $2.5 billion in revenue losses over the years? That’s a lot of money right? Well, they can now look forward to increased revenue because the Microsoft Office package will now be available for iPad as it is expected to be launched on the 27th of March.

Microsoft’s new CEO Satya Nadella is expected to announce the release of the Microsoft Office for iPad at his first press event next week where he’ll be talking about clod and mobile services

Previously, there was a suite available released last year which enabled iPhone users to work with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint apps so this new version for the iPad is expected to be similar to the iPhone version as well.

This version is not free though. It will be a on subscription basis using the Office 365 provision where a user has to pay a subscription of $6.99 monthly or $69.99 yearly.

A Twitter user tweeted to MacRumors a picture of a leaked photo from a Microsoft employee of what Office will look like on an iPad.

We’re not really sure about how much demand this Office suite will have, seeing as there are other FREE tools that people use like Google Docs and Apple’s iWorks. If not well received, Microsoft may still be making losses despite their roll out which quite honestly has taken a spell of time to be released.
