Bosso Africa And Zambia Home Loans Team Up To Address Housing Crisis

 Bosso Africa, the innovative construction tech startup with a mission to help solve Africa’s housing crisis, has partnered with Zambia Home Loans to enhance customers’ access to affordable construction materials.

The startup, which has been operating for a year, has previously partnered with construction supply stores, contractors and developers to offer a one stop shop solution for home builders via its Bosso App. The company has now signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Zambia Home Loans, adding to its finance partnerships.

Speaking during the MoU signing ceremony, Bosso Chief Operating Officer, Ibn Kafwanka noted that the partnership was a sign of Bosso’s commitment to alleviating the housing shortage in the country by empowering builders with innovative and affordable access to construction materials to build their dream homes.

“We’re delighted to partner with Zambia Home Loans to offer our customers access to home loans. We believe that everyone has a right to affordable shelter and this partnership will enable us to deliver on our mission to solve the housing crisis that not only our country faces but is a prevalent problem across Africa,” he said.

The rising cost of constructing a home in the country has been of great concern over the past few years and has led to a growing housing shortage problem. Bosso’s innovative app offers a faster, cheaper, and more sustainable way of sourcing building materials which in turn brings down the overall cost of construction. 

Zambia Home Loans is a specialised lender focused on providing construction mortgages to Zambians and has come on board to join hands with Bosso to address the housing challenge. 

Zambia Home Loans Chief Executive Officer, Nfwama Chisola Mfula, expressed excitement at the transformational partnership.

We at ZHL have seen how our customers struggle with getting quotations from various suppliers of building materials to build their homes. This innovation to order and get quotations of all building material supplies through the Bosso application on your phone makes construction easier,” Nfwama said.

Closing out the event, Bosso Chief Executive Officer, Chisepo Chirwa called on other industry players in the construction industry to join the cause to alleviate the housing crisis.

“The housing shortage is something that our government cannot handle on its own, it’s up to us in the private sector to step up to the plate to help alleviate the burden with innovations and solutions that enable our people to live in,” he said.
