Apple’s new iOS 12.1.1 update has some problems
Apple just released its new iOS update, v12.1.1 and users are complaining about some issues they’re facing.
Forbes contributor Gordon Kelly shared these tweets from his sources who complained about the update:
“@GordonKelly Sad to report this but the broken 4G experience is all over my phone. 90% of websites on work on mobile 4G data. Apps like Twitter, Amazon and so many others aren’t working but all Google related apps are running smoothly and so is WhatsApp! I’m clueless now.” – source

“@AppleSupport Hi, no 4G in any of my devices (iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone XS Max, iPad Pro 12.9 2017) since I updated to iOS 12.1.1 last night!” – source

Other users have complained about connectivity issues, saying they can not connect to their mobile data, or are failing to use certain apps on their devices.
With all these complaints that you can see here you may want to hold off on updating your iOS just yet, until Apple sets things straight with it.
iOS 12.1.1 has been updated with the following features:
- notification preview using haptic touch on iPhone XR
- Dual SIM with eSIM for additonal carriers on iPhone XR, XS and XS Max
- one tap to flip between rear and front facing camera during FaceTime calls
- Live Photo capture during one-to-one FaceTime calls
- to hide sidebar in News on iPad in landscape orientation
