An Amazon Smartphone? Maybe
The first thing that pops up when you think “Amazon” is probably e-commerce or Kindle, but we might all be graced with the launch of an Amazon smartphone. Amazon, the world’s largest online retailer, is holding a free “launch” event on the 17th June in the USA and it seems there might be a very big product being launched. Credible sources predict it will be a smartphone looking at the trailer Amazon has created on YouTube that does not show what the actual product is. Teaser much?
According to Mashable we expect the Amazon smartphone to feature four front-facing cameras or sensors to track the user’s gaze, and offer a glasses-free 3D-viewing experience the phone will reportedly feature four front-facing cameras or sensors to track the user’s gaze, and offer a glasses-free 3D-viewing experience.
Not many details have been given but if the device being launched is actually a smartphone, we hope its good enough to be a rival for all the major brands.
With the coming of this new smartphone I hope AMazon put some factors about what consumers want in a smartphone such as:
- Better durability
- Long battery life
- Security options incase of theft or misplacement
- Sleek looks but with enough grip
- A screen that shows sharp images
- Easy functionality
- 3G, 4G and/or LTE connectivity
- Not too heavy
- A great camera
Those are just some things that sell phones these days. We can now only wait and see what they come up with.
