Airtel’s Media Excellence Awards are going down on 11th July, 2015
Established to promote journalists who write really well about ICTs and technology in Zambia, the Airtel Media Awards will take place tomorrow 11th July, 2015 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Lusaka.
There were two themes that submissions were made under:
- The Mobile Industry in Zambia (eCommerce, mobile Internet and Apps)
- Zambia at 50: How mobile ICT has changed lives.
There are 4 categories being considered in these awards, being print, radio, TV and online media. The winners in each category will receive K10000 and an iPad each, and a grand prize winner will be chosen from among them and will win an extra K10000 and a one-month, all-expenses-paid attachment at Mail & Guardian Newspaper of South Africa.
We hope that they are a success, and really give credit to deserving journalists who cover everything tech/ICT in Zambia.
The judges have been chosen by the Media Institute of Southern Africa so we trust that they know what they’re doing in assessing the entries that were submitted.
