Airtel Premier Club Phase II: The Launch
Late last year Airtel Zambia rolled out mega Premier packs for its clients in Phase I and now Phase II has also been rolled out.
What are the benefits?
At the launch event last Friday at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Airtel Managing Director Ms. Charity Chanda Lumpa said Airtel was adding more benefits to the club’s portfolio by providing to Airtel Premier Customers personalized service and specific tailor-made plans and product schemes.
She said among other benefits, Airtel Premier Customers will enjoy a more border-less convenient roaming solution which is designed to fit Pan African and Middle East customer communication needs, by taking advantage of Airtel’s unique footprint across the continent.
So who qualifies for this service?
Ms Lumpa said “This applies to both pre-paid and postpaid customers on our network. And among several key value offers being free in-coming calls on the One-Airtel network when you roam. You don’t need to fear receiving calls while you roam”.
“We value our customers and therefore quality network coverage is a key focus for us. This year alone, we are investing $80 million in the expansion of the network and a further $62 million to manage the expansion. This large investment is testimony of how much we value you our customers,” she added.
The Guest of Honour was Bank of Zambia Deputy Governor Dr. Tukiya Kankasa-Mabula even added on how important mobile money services were also important and said,
“Information and communication technologies (ICTs) are increasingly important in achieving development goals and promoting citizen participation in social and economic progress. Information sharing and transaction capabilities are drastically changing the way we know and live life with the telecommunications industry leading the way.”
So what can Airtel Premier Club members expect?
Targeted at the higher income class in Zambia, seeing as the package starts at over K700 for a month, you do get to save almost half what you would have used on normal rates. It’s also perfect for businesses that use a dedicated line on the Airtel business because the calls are not limited to on-net ones only.
All you have to do is dial *434#.
