AgriPredict Unveils e-Extension Mobile App to Revolutionize Agricultural Innovation
AgriPredict, an agri-tech company, proudly introduces its new e-Extension mobile app, complementing its existing USSD platform. This innovative app incorporates a range of features designed to assist farmers and agriculture professionals in enhancing their farming practices and operations. AgriPredict’s fundamental mission revolves around providing access to crucial agricultural information, serving as a solution to the challenges faced by farmers on the ground.

Leveraging cutting-edge machine learning and artificial intelligence, AgriPredict has developed a comprehensive tool offering services such as weather, market access, early warning system, agro-dealers, and the latest addition, extension services. The platform currently boasts over 107,000 registered farmers from across the country.
In collaboration with partner organizations, AgriPredict conducted rigorous testing of the mobile application. Notably, the company joined forces with the Natural Resources Development College (NRDC) in September to conduct extensive testing. As a research institute specializing in agriculture education, NRDC provided valuable insights that contributed to refining the app. The testing phase aimed not only to collect essential feedback but also to enrich students’ practical learning experiences in the agricultural industry. Throughout this phase, AgriPredict granted students access to the app, allowing them to explore its features and functionalities.
AgriPredict CEO, Cassandra Mtine, emphasized the critical importance of the development process, stating, “Obtaining feedback during the beta phase was crucial to ensure we provide an impactful solution”.
The latest addition to AgriPredict’s services, Extension Services, addresses the essential information needs of farmers. This feature provides valuable insights into crop and livestock management, covering growth stages, pest and disease management, and nutritional deficiencies.
Access to these services is available through two distinct channels. Users can dial the short code *404# on both MTN and Zamtel Networks or download the mobile application for free from Google Play.
