Glad Dibetso Appointed As New Group CEO of inq.

inq. Group today announced the appointment of seasoned industry leader Glad Dibetso to succeed Nick Reed. Dibetso will become CEO Designate from 1 July 2023 working alongside Reed who will remain on as part of the transition process. The move is part of the Board approved succession plan.

inq. recently completed its acquisition of Syrex, a provider of hyperconverged cloud technology solutions, adding South Africa to its footprint across the Continent. Dibetso hopes to continue to bolster inq. to become a truly pan-African business, consolidating its traditional connectivity business and accelerating EdgeDock®, inq.’s unique digital service offering. Dibetso said, “I am excited to be joining inq. and leading the charge in co-creating innovative connectivity and digital solutions that are fundamental to enterprises across public and private sectors.”

Glad Dibetso has experience in diverse African cultures and geographies. Renowned for his ability to navigate markets in constant flux, he maintains the delicate balance between risk and outcome. Glad joins inq. from Deloitte Consulting, where he served as Partner: Cloud Transformation & ICT Operate. He has deep experience in ICT and business management. During his four-year as CEO of Nigeria-based Cloud Exchange, Glad made significant contributions to the business’s commercial strategy. He remains involved with the business as an advisory board member. At Dimension Data, where Glad served for a decade, his responsibilities included contract director across the manufacturing/FMCG, mining and public sectors. He was responsible for sales and served as MD: West Africa. Glad holds a B Comm (Information Systems & Economics) as well as an MBA (cum laude) from the University of Pretoria.
