Zamtel opens first mini service centre in Chawama

Zamtel has unveiled its latest innovation with the opening of the first of its new mini service centres to be rolled out countrywide.

The mini service centres will be the go-to-place for all Zamtel services and products and will be located right in the middle of the community markets.

Zamtel’s new mini service centres are one stop facilities targeted at providing convenience and ease of access to all Zamtel services and products.
Chief Commercial Officer Chibeza Ngoma officially opened the first of the new service centres at Chawama Market in Lusaka at a ceremony witnessed by local people and traders.

Chawama is one of the largest constituencies areas in Lusaka, and host to a wide range of economic activities, including agriculture, commerce, trade and industry.

The mini service centres boasts of the state-of-the-art facilities and will offer Sim card purchases, replacements and swaps, mobile money services, Velocity and any customer service queries including products such as Routers and MiFi’s.

“Zamtel will open these outlets across the country in order to take our services closer to the people. At a time when the whole world is preaching about minimizing movements in the fight against Covid-19, we believe these centres will help people access communication services right within their reach,” Mr Ngoma said.

Mr Ngoma announced that more centres are lined up to be opened this week.

He said Zamtel is also creating employment opportunities for local people through the opening up of mini service centres.

Mr Ngoma said as an indigenous Zambian brand, Zamtel is excited about taking its products and services down to the community as it believes that communication services is an enabler to social and economic development.

“Each time you buy Zamtel products and services, you are supporting Zambian entrepreneurs in various parts of the country because these mini service centres will be dotted across Zambia,” stressed Mr Ngoma.

Mr Ngoma has since thanked customers for their continued support and assured that Zamtel’s key focus was to offer affordable world class communication services as it strives to be the prime driver of digital transformation in Zambia.
