MTN Zambia has today announced its support for the Stanbic Music Festival, further demonstrating its commitment to partnerships that provide a superior customer experience for its subscribers. The Stanbic Music Festival, now in its fifth year, will be headlined by American musicians Brian McKnight and Joe Thomas, with local supporting acts including Salma, Wezi and Esther Chungu.

The festival has hosted some of the music industry’s best chart-topping musical acts and brings together music lovers from across the country and region. As a proud sponsor of the festival, MTN will provide support valued at K360,000 that includes MTN’s state of the art mobile satellite. The company will also support Stanbic Bank’s engagement with festival goers, reaching more than 3.5 million customers across Lusaka, Livingstone and the Copperbelt.

Acting Chief Executive Officer of MTN, Mr. Komba Malukutila says MTN is passionate about supporting the festival as it celebrates music, cultural diversity and is a platform that encourages Zambians to connect through the arts.

“The Stanbic Music Festival is a prime example of how music can bring people together. As MTN, we are always striving to help Zambians make meaningful connections through the many platforms we offer. Whether it is through our Mobile Money, data or voice call platforms, our passion in giving Zambians connectivity is what attracted us to be part of the festival this year,” says Malukutila.
