Chance to Meet Tech Entrepreneurs at Startup Hour

Things are happening in the bustling city of Lusaka and we want to be part of them, especially when those things involve a platform facilitating the meeting of entrepreneurs. Startup Hour caught our attention some time last year but this time we have an opportunity to attend and can’t wait to share what we discover. According to the organiser’s website, “Startup Hour is the happy hour for great business minds from the startup, corporate and business support communities.”

We will be on the look-out for start-ups in tech working on ideas with potentially high impact. And of course we look forward to discussing new ideas while having fun. The highlight of the event is going to be the featured guest, Sean Dearham, General Manager of Woolworths International Division. His brief bio can be found here. It also seems that the main question of the night is going to be, “what do you know now that you wish you knew when you started out?”

Startup Hour is organized by Startup Junction which aims at bringing together African startups to build community, offer mentorship, and reduce costs through shared services. It appears as though their past events have been quite successful and well attended; thus, I look forward to maximizing this opportunity both professionally and personally.
