Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet, Thin and Waterproof
Like the title reads, the Sony Xperia Z2 tablet is indeed thin and waterproof. The Mobile World Congress has been nothing short of amazing when it comes to putting out gadgets and this is one of them.
This latest invention is Sony’s pride, packing a thin 6.4mm body and thus claimed the world’s thinnest tablet so far. It has a 10.1 inch screen with full HD resolution and Triluminous technology that is in most Sony TVs so all your movies look so much better watching them. Bonus points there!
Its look is very slick too. It has an all glass front with the very small Sony logo in and matte black plastic cover. It is waterproof up to 1 meter and for 30 minutes so yes you can watch your favourite series while you shower.
We bet you’re dying to know about the processor so here it is. It run at 2.3GHz on its quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and 3GB of RAM. The Sony Xperia Z1 was decently fast on a lesser processor of Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (quad-core 2.2 GHz) so this should definitely be exciting if you like it faster.
It has the latest version of Android which is the 4.4.2 Kit Kat version which has more security fixes and enhancements than the 4.4.1 version. This new version is actually being rolled out to other brands of devices such as Nexus, HTC and Samsung as well.
If you love your photo quality at it’s best, then stick to the Z1. It has an impressive 20.7 MP rear camera with an LED flash while the Z2 Tablet only has 8.1MP with an inbuilt Exmor RS sensor with HDR and Superior Auto Mode. Highly disappointing considering the fact that the general mindset expects so much more from a newer device version. However, if you’re endowed with a huge selfie fetish, the front camera with it’s 2.2MP is better than the Z1’s 2.0MP.
Gamers, listen up! The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet has software that allows you to pair Playstation 3 controllers. Cool story! With 6000mAH of battery power allowing 10 hours of video playback, this should last you long enough to get you through some levels of God of War 3.
The tablet is only expected to be sold on the market sometime in March/April and a price hasn’t been fixed yet but start saving just in case you need to break the bank. Oh yeah, and don’t forget to cut your SIM card. The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet only takes in micro SIMs.
