21-Year Old Wins MTN Winamo Na Momo Promotion
A 21-year-old Kalumbila girl, Rose Lemana (pictured, left) is the winner of the grand prestigious prize of K200,000 in the Winamo na MoMo promotion which was launched on 27th July and came to end on 14th October 2022. The promotion was launched by MTN MoMo to celebrate its 10-year anniversary and to extend a significant milestone of its achievements.
MTN MoMo, Marketing Manager, Mr.Chikondi Mwanza (pictured, right) made the announcement today when he handed over a cheque written out to Rose Lemana worth K200,000.
The grand prize winner, who just completed her grade 12 exams, described this life-changing moment as a “dream come true.” She said she was “very grateful and happy for the opportunity the prize represents as it will change her life and the lives of those around her.” In addition, she said that the prize money would be used to pay for her education at nursing school which her and her family may never have been able to afford.
“I would like to commend MTN Zambia for the good work they have put in introducing these promotions because now I can dare to dream and pursue an education, truly a burden has been lifted off the shoulders of my parents who have worked every single day of their lives ensuring that my siblings and I get a good education. I couldn’t be happier, and I hope this inspires people that come from a background like mine to be more active and patient.” An excited Lemana said.
Mr. Mwanza congratulated Ms. Lemana on being the grand prize winner of the K200,000 Winamo na MoMo promotion.
The Winamo na MoMo promotion was an initiative by MTN MoMo to encourage more customers to use their Mobile money wallets to experience the convenience of making digital payments fostering wide coverage and financial inclusivity across Zambia. During its 10-week run, the winamo na MoMo promotion drew 10 lucky winners each week and awarded them K10,000 each. To date, the competition has had 100 winners across Zambia, in towns such as Livingstone, Chipata, Chililabombwe, Serenje, Solwezi, Luanshya, and Kasumbalesa.
